Tips for your Engineer resume
- State discipline and degree precisely: “M.S. Mechanical Engineering, focus on lightweight structures” instead of just “engineer”.
- For each role, describe one or two projects with scope (parts, budget, team) and your share. Hiring managers want to know what you owned.
- List tools with versions or modules where your field cares – CATIA V5 in automotive, for example.
- Put PE, EIT, Six Sigma or PMP certifications in their own section with years.
- List patents and publications briefly with title and year. They show depth without taking much space.
