Titles say little in project management, because “project lead” means something different everywhere. A convincing resume makes scope, role and results of each project concrete.

Tips for your Project manager resume
- Describe each project with the four figures hiring managers ask about: budget, team size, duration, result. Use orders of magnitude where numbers are confidential.
- Be clear about your role: did you lead, contribute or own a workstream? Honest descriptions protect you in the interview.
- Put certifications in their own section with year and expiry if relevant. PMP is often used as a filter in job ads.
- Use the method terms from the job ad where they are true for you – “hybrid”, “scaled agile”, “SAFe”. Applicant tracking systems search for them.
- A failed or cancelled project can be a strong bullet if you show what you saved or learned. Explaining beats hiding.
Salary
