- List only technologies you could discuss for twenty minutes in an interview. A long tool cloud looks arbitrary; ten honest entries look confident.
- Describe impact instead of tasks: performance, reliability, users, time saved. Where you don’t know an exact number, describe the scale of the system.
- Link GitHub or a portfolio only if there is something current there. An empty or stale profile hurts more than it helps.
- State your level and role on the team – tech lead, feature owner, on-call. It helps recruiters match you to the right opening.
- Mirror the order of skills in the job ad where it is true for you. Recruiters and applicant tracking systems both look for those terms first.
