Marketing manager resume template: example & tips
Marketing leaders read a resume like a campaign report: which channels you master, what budget you managed and what it delivered. Creativity counts, but results convince – reach, qualified leads, pipeline, revenue, lower acquisition costs. A strong resume shows both: that you have ideas and that you make them measurable.

Tips for your Marketing manager resume
- Lead with the metrics of your campaigns – leads, conversion, pipeline or revenue contribution, cost per lead. Mark estimates as estimates.
- Be specific about budget and channels. “Performance marketing” alone is vague; “Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, $20,000 per month” is concrete.
- Link a portfolio or two or three campaign examples if you may – especially in content and brand marketing.
- Tools belong in your skills, but not as an endless list. Pick the ones from the job ad you truly know.
- Show that you work with sales: handoffs, shared targets, feedback loops. It is exactly where marketing often struggles.
Salary
Pay depends on location, employer, experience and certification – a single number says little. For current figures by occupation, see the Occupational Outlook Handbook (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
